When do we collect your personal information?

When you visit www.kenro.co.uk or www.kenro.ie (referenced as “the site/s”), we collect certain information about your device, interaction with the site, and information necessary to process your purchase. We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support.

Your privacy is important to us and so we will never sell or disclose your personal information to a third party for the use of the information for other purposes than described in this policy. We may give your personal information to our trusted service partners for delivering services to you. For instance, for the purposes of marketing (we use Shopify for order and personal data capture; Klaviyo for email marketing and NOSTO for personalised shopping), finance, advertising, processing payment and delivery.

What we do with the personal information you provide to us?

We use this information in a number of different ways:

  • Device Information: Device information is automatically collected when you access our site/s using cookies, log files, web beacons, tags or pixels. This information is solely used to load our site/s accurately for your and to perform analytics on site usage to optimise our site/s. From this we collection the version of the web browser you are using, the device you are using, IP address, time zone, cookie information, what sites or products you view, search terms and how you interact with our site/s. This information may be shared with our trusted third-party systems such as Shopify, Klaviyo for email marketing and NOSTO for personalised shopping.
  • Processing Orders: To process your order ensuring that the personal and financial information you provide to us is accurate. For this, we use trusted third-party systems (PayPal, Klarna, ShopPay, SAGE) to ensure that your payment is safe and that your personal details are not being used fraudulently. We use systems of fraud analysis to ensure that genuine and accurate payment details are being provided for any purchase. In order to offer you Klarna’s payment methods, we might in the checkout pass your personal data in the form of contact and order details to Klarna, in order for Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment methods and to tailor those payment methods for you. Your personal data transferred is processed in line with Klarna’s own privacy notice.
  • Delivery of Orders: For our deliveries we use trusted third-party service provides including, but not limited to, DPD, Royal Mail and Parcel Force. We will share the personal information that you provided to use with them including your name, delivery preferences and delivery address to ensure that our products and/or services are delivered to the correct address.
  • Customer Feedback: After you purchase from our site/s, you may receive a post purchase customer feedback request. This survey email (either by Judge.me or TrustPilot) is your opportunity to rate and comment on both our service and the products you have bought. We may also, on occasion, ask you to complete surveys that we use to find out about your experiencing whilst shopping with use for research purposes. It is not mandatory to respond to these email survey requests.
  • Email Marketing: If you have opted in to receive our email newsletter, we will use your personal information (name, email address, location, phone number and/or time zone) to send you emails on our products or services. You can unsubscribe from our email list and from all future mailings by clicking on ‘Unsubscribe’ in the footer of the email. Alternatively, you can email your request to info@kenro.co.uk
  • Shopping Online: When making a purchase on our site/s you have the option to set up an account on our website (either personal or trade account). This enables you to purchase products and services from our site/s without having to fill in your personal information every time you shop. If you account has been inactive for a long period of time, we reserve the right to deactivate your account.
  • Data Storage: We may store or process the information you provide to us for a period of time to enable us to assist with any potential product faults, returns or complaints and to ensure that an allegation of fraudulent use of identity can be properly investigated in the future.
  • Website and User Improvements: We collect information to determine how to improve our site by seeing which areas, features and products are most popular. We also keep track of the domains from which people visit us. We analyse this data (through third-party services including but not limited to Google Analytics and Nosto) for trends and statistics and then we discard it.
  • Fraud Prevention: To prevent fraud or other criminal activity and to make sure information is accurate, we may pass on the information we have about you to over companies, retailers, financial organisations or other organisations specialising in the prevention of fraud and crime. We are sometimes obligated to disclose information we have about customers to law enforcement agencies where an allegation has been made of suspected criminal activity.

Where do we store your personal information?

Please be aware that the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our utmost to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site/s; any transmission is at your own risk. Any payment transactions will be encrypted and processed via our secure transaction partner. Alternatively, you have the option to pay for your purchase via a link at the checkout to the PayPal, ShopPay or GooglePay website.

We keep the personal information we collect about you in secure environments using the services of third-party companies. Your personal data is protected from unauthorised access, disclosure, use, alteration or destruction by any organisation or individuals. We work with website storage service providers and our website developers help store and manage personal data obtained from our site/s.

If you subscribe to receive our email newsletter, we work with third-party provider Klaviyo who will store your name, email address, address and DOB (if provided).

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of the site/s, you are responsible for keep that password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

If you do not wish to be contacted about our products or services, you can unsubscribe by going to the following page and entering your email address in the unsubscribe box (link). Alternatively, you can click the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in the footer of a marketing email. You can also access your account and update your personal settings.

 

Updating your personal information and GDPR

If you find that the personal information that we have about you in inaccurate or needs updating (for instance your name or address) then please go to your account and update your settings. Alternatively, you can email the updates needed to info@kenro.co.uk and our team will make these corrections for you. You can also contact us on this email address if you would like to know what information Kenro Ltd holds about you, we will provide you with that information subjection to a reasonable fee within 40 days of receiving the request.
